Pete Shillito

Pete Shillito is Founder and Director of Shillito Group, bringing more than 25 years’ experience in recruitment and business leadership. Throughout his career he has built a reputation as one of the region’s most well-connected and respected figures within the recruitment and business community.

Pete works closely with business owners, senior leaders and boards to support strategic hiring decisions across commercial, operational and leadership functions. His role is often focused on helping organisations shape their hiring strategy, introduce key individuals and open doors to talent that may otherwise be accessible only through trusted networks.

Alongside his work within Shillito Group, Pete plays an active role in the wider business community. He currently serves as Chair of the South Yorkshire Institute of Directors and is a member of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire, reflecting his longstanding commitment to supporting the region’s business landscape and leadership community.

Known for his energy, charisma and ability to build genuine long-term relationships, Pete has developed a network that spans senior leaders across manufacturing, professional services and commercial sectors. Many of the organisations he works with today are relationships built and maintained over many years.

As founder of Shillito Group, Pete continues to play a central role in the direction and growth of the business, working closely with clients while also supporting the development of the team and the continued expansion of the firm’s recruitment capability.
