Alex Baker is Founder and Director of Shillito Group and plays a central role in shaping the operational, marketing and strategic direction of the business. With more than 25 years’ experience across recruitment and business operations, he focuses on ensuring the firm continues to develop the systems, processes and insight needed to support clients effectively in a changing hiring market.

Alex works closely with the leadership team to strengthen the infrastructure behind the recruitment process, developing tools, reporting and operational frameworks that help the business deliver a consistent, high-quality service. His work spans marketing strategy, candidate engagement, recruitment technology and internal process optimisation.

Alongside his operational role, Alex also brings extensive recruitment experience and a deep understanding of the hiring challenges faced by modern businesses. This combination of commercial recruitment insight and operational thinking enables him to shape initiatives that directly support client outcomes, from market insight and hiring trends through to improving how talent is identified, engaged and secured.

He has been closely involved in the continued growth of Shillito Group, helping to develop the firm’s brand, digital presence and market engagement strategy while supporting the wider team in delivering successful recruitment assignments.
